Kalahari Spa and Restaurant!

While my family and I were at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio for a little mini vacation, I had a chance to spend some time at the spa! I was pretty excited about some “me” time, and I really soaked it up! After spending a day at the indoor water park running around after my son, some relaxation time was needed!

I got a 30-minute massage and a 30-minute facial, and the spa employees were so good at making me feel comfortable! When I arrived, I got a robe and a locker, and then I got to relax in an amazing lounge. There was a coffee bar set up with water, coffee, teas and hot chocolate, and it was just such a nice way to start off my alone time.

The ladies who provided the services were really nice. I had never had a facial before, and my facialist was great, walking me through everything so I knew what to expect! It was a great first facial experience!

Some of the spas other most popular services are the Hot Stone Massage; Glowing Warmth Massage; Kalahari’s Signature Pedicure; and In a Kalahari Minute, which includes a 25-minute Zone Massage, a 25-minute Kalahari Express Facial and a 25-minute Spa Manicure.

Also included at the spa is Spa Kalahari Junior, which provides manicures and pedicures to hair styling, skin care and massages for kids ages 3 and up! It would be so much fun to have a mother-daughter spa day!

In addition to the spa, Kalahari has some fantastic restaurants. We dined at The Reserve Restaurant and were totally impressed. The restaurant has an extensive menu , and the food is fantastic)! I had filet mignon with asparagus, corn chowder and mashed potatoes, and it was SO good!

The restaurant also has an all-you-can-eat buffet for kids with all the typical kid favorites, like mac n’ cheese, pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken nuggets. What kid wouldn’t like that?? My son, Cooper, loved everything at the buffet!

And, there are plenty of other “dry” activities to enjoy at Kalahari including the arcade and indoor play area. The arcade is HUGE and includes miniature golf and bowling alley! Cooper had a BLAST there! He loved the bowling because the smaller sized balls and pins made playing much easier for him. And, despite the smaller size, my husband had a blast bowling, too, so it’s perfect for kids and adults!
