Bath time Finger Paints
1/3 cup clear dish detergent
1 Tbsp cornstarch
Food coloring

Mix detergent and cornstarch together in a small bowl until blended. Pour the mixture into different small dishes(maybe an ice cube try). Add 1 to 2 drops of food coloring to each dish and mix with a small spoon.
HOMEMADE SILLY PUTTY

Elmer’s glue
liquid cornstarch

Mix equal parts glue and cornstarch to make your own silly putty.





HOMEMADE BUBBLES
1/2 c. liquid dishwashing soap
ย 2 tsp. sugar
1 1/4 c. water
Combine ingredients and mix in a bowl. This recipe yields 1 3/4 cups of bubble mix. Reuse old bubble bottles and wands for storage and use.




Peanut Butter Playdough
1 jar of Peanut butter
6 tsp honey
non-fat dry milk to make desired consistency

Mix all theย ingredientsย together! Can use raisins, chocolate chips cookies to play with and the kids can eat it too!

  3. I love all of these. Will definitely try the Peanut Butter Playdough. I made my girls playdough with flour, salt, & koolaid. They wanted to eat it because it smelled so good. So at least this ones is edible. They love all of the homemade things. They think it’s fun when you “cook” something that they can play with.

  12. I love these ideas, especially the silly putty one. I remember loving to play with silly putty and the newspaper, but it would always get ink into it and ruin it. It wouldn’t be such a big deal if you could make your own! It’s gotten expensive at the store.

  14. I’ll have to try these ideas with my 2 year old grandson. One thing he loves is when I put shaving cream in his bath water with a few drops of food coloring. he then “paints” the walls.

  18. great ideas but elmers glue to play with? not sure. And I hope the peanut butter on have separate one to play and one to eat. I am a germ freak and would worry about it gettung dirty if u play with it before eating. Does it draw a lot of ants? I would imagine you can’t save this one
